The Standard holster available in a variety of colors and camouflage patterns. Shown here is FDE (flat dark earth) and is just one of the 30+ colors available. It comes standard in black with 1.75″ injection molded belt loops. Optional, tuckable, J hook, and/or pull the dot belt loops allow inside the waistband (IWB) carry for added versatility and concealability. It’s like getting two holsters in one.
This is the best all around holster available. The pancake holster style fits close to the body that allows excellent concealment yet offers quick access when you need it.
New in December 2021 is the option to choose your own sweat shield size. The sweat shield is the body side part of the holster that covers the slide. A full would extend to the rear of the slide. A low would be close to the rear of the grip. Low with RMR/MRD reduces the sweat shield from the top of the slide for slide mounted red dots.
The body of the holster is constructed of .080 Kydex or for some finishes Holstex. Both offer excellent resistance to environmental conditions. Hot, cold, wet or dry will not harm your holster. Other thicknesses are available as a custom order. Although we feel .080 offers the best properties. The .060 thickness will do the job but feels flimsy to most people. The Standard Holster and belt loop position allows for six carry heights and different angles for most full size pistols. Adjustment will vary depending on pistol length. The highest position of the belt loops allows the pistol to sit lowest on your belt. This will roughly place the trigger guard at the belt level. The belt loops can be dropped down to the next set of eyelets making for a slightly higher ride. Flipping the belt loops upside down with further raise the ride of the holster. Inverting the belt loops for a very high ride, as with any holster, should only be done with a stiff belt. The Range Holster is a great solution for someone wanting a holster that is both versatile in application and easy to use. This taco holster style is formed from a single piece of thermoformed Kydex. This allows a small footprint on your belt freeing up space for other items you need to carry. Thigh Holster
Whether you call it a Thigh Holster, Leg Holster, or Drop Leg Holster they all free up belt space and provide extra clearance around body armor to access your pistol. It is also easier to draw from your support hand. The Ares Tactical Thigh Holster is highly versatile. It is adjustable for ride height, including being able to remove the top strap. Both let straps feature rubberized strips that help prevent twisting or unwanted movement. Dual tension screw allow you to adjust the force needed to draw. All holsters come mounted directly to the thigh platform. We do offer a variety quick-release interchangeable hardware that allow your to swap holster quickly or the move your holster from one platform to another easily. Some of the more popular are the Blade-Tech TMMS, Safariland QLS, and G-Code RTI. Essentially they all serve the same function but are not interoperable between brands. One side mounts to the holster (Insert/fork/hanger) and the other mounts to platform (thigh panel/ belt slide, molle adapter) and this is usually called the plate. Is one any better than another? That’s a personal preference as they all have their own following. TMMS puts it off the body the least, RTI is the easiest to swap out. QLS is the most ubiquitous. Tanker Chest Holster
The Tanker Holster was born out of a need for a easy access system where traditional belt or thigh holsters were not practical. Classically seen worn by tankers and pilots, today you can still see these used by military personnel as well as backpackers, hikers, and atv off roaders. The Ares Tactical Tanker Chest Holster is based on the 1940’s US Military M7 Tanker Holster. We have designed in a lot of improvements including using weatherproof Kydex, allowing greater adjustability in sizing and retention. Additionally, we have designed the holster to be adjustable in the carry angle. It can be rotated to near horizontal. This allows for a more natural draw angle to fit your body. Shoulder Holster
From Miami Vice to Dirty Harry or a Yippee Ki-Yay NYC police detective, the shoulder holster has played an iconic role in movies and television. The Ares Tactical Shoulder Holster is an updated lightweight version using Kydex. This is a significant weight saving over older traditional leather versions and fit better than nylon models. We offer both horizontal and vertical carry holsters. Both models features an optional removable belt tie down. Each holster has a tension adjustment so you can adjust the retention to meet your desire. You can add a double magazine carrier on the other side. This really helps balance the rig and is a great way to have extra magazines at the ready. The shoulder harness is x-rig design that distributes weight well and helps to keep you holster and ammo where you place them. On the off side you can add a double magazine pouch or a combination magazine and flashlight pouch. Besides having those extra items you should be carrying easily at hand is provides great balance if you are not tying your holster into your belt. All shoulder holsters require greater care and training as compared to strong side belt holsters such as our Standard Holster. The disadvantages are it is very easy to sweep (muzzle) yourself and others on the draw. Also, it can be troublesome for people back problems. There are also some significant advantages wearing a shoulder holster. Among the advantages of a shoulder holster is access while seated. This is particularly true when you are strapped into your car seat. You can also stage your hand on the weapon under your jacket and still be concealed and inconspicuous. The shoulder rig is a great way to have your pistol and magazines at the ready for those bumps in the night. Many people find the shoulder holster in more convenient to draw with either hand. Tie down straps simple screw onto your kydex holster or mag holder and snap around your belt. We recommend at least one when choosing the vertical shoulder holster configuration.
